REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has handed over the project specific special purpose vehicle (SPV), Gadag II-A Transmission Limited, to ReNew Transmission Ventures Private Limited (RTVPL).
RTVPL has been selected as the successful bidder of the inter-state transmission project through tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) carried for selection of transmission developers in line with the standard bidding documents and guidelines thereof. The SPV was formed for the construction of transmission scheme for solar energy zone in Gadag (1,500 MW), Karnataka: Part A Phase-II. The work involves establishment of 3×500 MVA ICT augmentation at Gadag pooling station (PS) with associated works, two 400 kV line bays at each end of Gadag PS and Koppal PS 400 kV double circuit (D/c) line and associated works including around 48 kms of 400 kV D/c transmission lines. The project is targeted for implementation in 18 months.
