Philippines’ NGCP seeks ERC approval for projects worth PHP20.3 billion

Philippines’ transmission network operator, National Grid Corporation of Philippines (NGCP), is seeking approval from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for six transmission projects worth PHP20.3 billion.

According to the concessionaire, these projects need to be implemented on an immediate basis to ensure reliable and high performance operation of the country’s transmission system. The projects include—the PHP3.61 billion, 138 kV Maco─Mati transmission line project; PHP3.32 billion, Calbayog─Allen transmission line project; PHP6.35 billion, 230 kV Laray substation project; PHP1.64 billion, 230 kV Pinili substation project; PHP4.42 billion, 230 kV San Simon substation project; and the PHP1 billion, 69 kV Concepcion─Sta. Ignacia transmission line project. The San Simon substation project is targeted for implementation within 68 month period, while the Pinili substation within 62 months. Further, the proposed Laray substation facility is planned for completion in 147 months; the Concepcion─Sta. Ignacia transmission line project within 66 months; the Calbayog─Allen transmission line project within 103 months; and the Maco─Mati transmission line project after 36 months.
