HSPGC coal power plant commences operations in Cambodia

Huadian Sihanoukville Power Generation Company Limited (HSPGC) has commenced operations of its 700MW coal-fired power plant in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province, making it the largest power station in the country.

The HSPGC power plant uses two 350MW supercritical condensing coal-fired units. Construction of the power facility was financed by China-based Huadian Overseas Investment Company Limited. The project is key in providing low-cost and reliable energy to consumers in Cambodia.
