The Ministry of New and renewable Energy (MNRE) has granted extension of time to solar power projects under tranche-I, tranche–II and tranche-III of central public sector undertaking (CPSU) scheme Phase-II till September 30, 2024.
According to MNRE, representations were received for extending the timelines for these projects primarily on account of supply chain disruption in solar photovoltaic sector. The issue was examined and it has been decided that Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (for tranche I and tranche II) and Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (for tranche III) may extend the scheduled commissioning date till September 30, 2024 of such solar projects under tranche-I, tranche-II, and tranche-III of the CPSU scheme phase-II, whose scheduled commissioning date is before September 30, 2024, and who wish to avail such time extension.
