Sterlite Power bags orders worth Rs 38 billion from April to December 2022

Sterlite Power has bagged multiple orders worth Rs 38 billion across its solutions business unit in the domestic and international markets during the first three quarters 2022-23, registering a growth of 90 per cent compared to same period of 2021-22.

The new order wins are for uprate of existing power transmission lines for 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and state utilities like Meghalaya Power Transmission Corporation Limited, and West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited. For Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, the company will supply and install optical ground wire (OPGW) for fiberisation of the state’s existing transmission network for 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV. Uprate and upgrade of existing transmission networks helps in maximising power carrying capacities of existing transmission corridors, ensuring faster, economical, and sustainable means of solving energy delivery challenges. In products business, the company has bagged prestigious orders for conductors and OPGW from large customers in India, Americas, SAARC, and MEA region. Orders include supplies for major green energy transmission projects in India and abroad. The company has also acquired strategic orders for the supply of extra high voltage (EHV) cables to state utilities like Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited. The company has also been marking its presence in turnkey EHV cable projects including substation at various utilities i.e., Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited and Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited.
