The Ministry of Power (MoP) has recommended coal linkage to plants based on washery rejects for the optimum performance of the circulating fluidised-bed combustion boiler.
As per the recommendation, the ratio of coal and rejects of 55:45 with G13 garde coal may be considered for projects having a unit size of 50 MW and above. Similarly, for G12 and G11 grade of coal, the ratio would be 48:52 and 43:57, respectively.
