The central government has approved an estimated investment of Rs 318.76 billlion for the 2,880 MW Dibang multipurpose project in Arunachal Pradesh.
The project will be developed by NHPC Limited and is estimated to take nine years to build. The approved investment includes budgetary support of Rs 61.59 billion towards flood moderation component, and Rs 5.56 billion towards enabling infrastructure, such as roads and bridges connecting the construction site.
