JK Cement to offtake renewable energy from CleanMax

JK Cement and CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions have entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 6.42 MW wind-solar generation capacity in Karnataka.

The PPA has been signed for a period of 25 years and at a tariff 50 per cent less than the prevalent discom tariff . The renewable energy will be provided from CleanMax’s wind – solar farm in Jagalur, Karnataka to JK Cement’s Muddapur factory. This wind–solar capacity constitutes 4.68 MWp of solar power and 3.3 MW of wind power and is a part of a larger wind – solar farm developed by CleanMax in Karnataka. The cumulative capacity of the farm is 290 MW, with 145 MW wind and 210 MWp of solar capacity.
