Ministry of Coal auctions 10 mines under commercial auction

The Ministry of Coal has auctioned 10 mines under commercial auction on the first day of the e-auction.

Of these, six coal mines were Coal Mines (Special Provisions) coal mines and four coal mines were Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) coal mines. Six coal mines are fully explored and four are partially explored coal mines. The total geological reserves for these 10 coal mines are 1,866 million tonnes. Cumulative peak rate capacity (PRC) for these coal mines is 7.9 million tonnes per annuam (excluding partially explored coal mines). Upon operationalisation, these coal mines will generate annual revenue of around Rs 9.90 billion calculated at PRC of these coal mines (excluding Parbatpur Central and partially explored coal mines). These mines will attract capital investment of about Rs 11.85 billion.
