The Ministry of Coal has auctioned one mine under commercial auction on the fourth day of the e-auction. Further, the auction process of another mine is underway.
Both the mines are Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) coal mines and are fully explored. The total geological reserves for these two coal mines are 779 million tonnes (mt). Cumulative peak rate capacity (PRC) for these coal mines is 5.48 mt per annuam. Upon operationalisation, these coal mines will generate annual revenue of around Rs 6.20 billion calculated at PRC of these coal mines (excluding Arjuni (Eastern Part) coal mines). These mines will attract capital investment of about Rs 8.22 billion.
