Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has been declared as the successful bidder under tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) to establish inter-state transmission system for Western Region Expansion Scheme-XXVII (WRES-XXVII), and WRES-XXVIII and WRES-XXIX on build, own, operate and transfer basis.
WRES-XXVII comprises of establishment of 400kV D/C transmission line passing through the state of Chhattisgarh and bays extension works at two existing sub-stations. Meanwhile, WRES-XXVIII and WRES- XXIX comprises of bays extension works including creation of 220 kV voltage at two existing sub-stations in the state of Chhattisgarh. The letter of intent for these projects have been received by Powergrid.
