The governments of Singapore and Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on renewable energy cooperation.
Under this MoU, Indonesia and Singapore will facilitate investments for the development of upstream and downstream renewable energy manufacturing industries and capabilities in Indonesia, besides leveraging investments for electricity export projects to Singapore. The two countries will facilitate the development of solar farms and battery energy storage systems in Indonesia. Energy generated from these planned projects will be used for domestic usage as well as cross-border export to Singapore.
