Tata Power arm receives LoA to set up 200 MW solar project for MSEDCL

Tata Power Company Limited’s subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has received a letter of award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to set up a 200 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Solapur, Maharashtra.

The project was awarded through competitive bidding, followed by reverse e-auction. The installation will reduce around 432.94 million kg of CO2 emissions annually. The project will be commissioned within 18 months from the power purchase agreement execution date. With this, the total renewables capacity of TPREL has reached 6,503 MW, with an installed capacity of 3,909 MW and 2,594 MW under various stages of implementation.
