Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has kickstarted its efforts to launch energy efficiency measures in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
In collaboration with Power Development Department, district Leh-Ladakh, EESL will replace 40,000 60W incandescent bulbs with 10W LED for the citizens in the district. These bulbs can help in saving around 8.76 million units of electricity annually, and help reducing CO2 emission amounting to 7,446 tonne each year. Additionally, they can help with monetary savings of approximately Rs 30 million annually.
