ABB invited 12 prominent professors to Västerås, Sweden, in end March for the first of four symposiums to discuss the role of energy efficiency solutions in the context of climate change. The exchange among leading researchers in process optimisation, electrical engineering, energy storage and power systems, and senior researchers from ABB focused on industry, transportation and buildings. The collaboration aims for a better understanding of the importance of energy efficiency to mitigate climate change and lower energy costs. It will also benefit research funders and the EU research agenda.
