Toyota Tsusho completes acquisition of 85 per cent of SB Energy shares

Toyota Tsusho Corporation has announced the completion of acquisition of 85 per cent of the shares of SB Energy Corporation (SB Energy) from SoftBank Group Corporation (SBG).

Consequently, SB Energy has been renamed Terras Energy Corporation (Terras Energy) and has become a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho with 85 per cent stock ownership ratio and an affiliate of SBG with 15 per cent stock ownership ratio. Toyota Tsusho and SBG are exploring collaborative efforts among their group companies in the renewable energy businesses, aiming towards achieving carbon neutrality. With Terras Energy joining the Toyota Tsusho Group, the Group will have approximately 4,202 MW of capacity in Japan, including 3,182 MW of wind power and 1,020 MW of solar power.
