NTPC Limited has marked its first overseas capacity addition, beginning with Bangladesh.
The Group recently added Unit-1 of 660 MW capacity, of the 1,320 MW (2×660 MW) Maitree super thermal power plant located in Rampal, Mongla, Bagerhat, Bangladesh. With this new addition, the installed capacity of NTPC group has reached 72,304 MW. The project was executed in collaboration with the Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Private Limited, a foreign joint venture company of NTPC.
