PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) has issued tender for procurement of aggregate power for group of states for undertaking tariff based competitive bidding for medium term procurement of power.
It has invited bids for the procurement and supply of 4,500 MW of electricity for five years through public private partnership on finance, own and operate (FOO) basis. Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited has sought the highest quantum of power at 1,500 MW, followed by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited which have sought 1,000 MW each, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited has sought 660 MW, Haryana Power Purchase Committee has sought 500 MW, and New Delhi Municipal Corporation has sought 250 MW. As per the bidding document, the supply of power must commence from September 1, 2023.
