L&T establishes its Green Energy Council

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced the establishment of L&T Green Energy Council, a think-tank comprising notable thought leaders.

The council will be responsible to discover green energy technology trends, study evolving global policy developments, evaluate emerging business models, and provide collaborative advice. The country aims to achieve energy independence by 2047 and its net-zero targets by 2070. L&T aims to be carbon neutral by 2040 and has already begun projects such as green hydrogen project development, electrolyser manufacturing, and battery cell manufacturing.
