The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) in India has announced critical partnerships to support India’s ambitious mission of achieving clean energy independence by 2047. The GEAPP will partner with Indian Railways to support the solarisation of transport, with Ashoka University to develop knowledge documents and research papers for policymakers, and with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited to develop a waste-to-energy and compressed biogas market. The GEAPP has also announced ENTICE – the International Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge – an initiative focused on supporting innovators reaching scale on energy transition-focused ideas and solutions.
