NGEL and HMEL sign MoU for development of renewable energy, generation of green hydrogen and synthesis of green chemicals

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and HPCL Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) have signed an MoU to collaborate on the de­velopment of renewable energy, generation of green hydrogen and synthesis of green chemicals. The MoU envisages a collaboration in the field of renewable energy by so­urcing 250 MW of round-the-clock renewable power to meet HMEL’s requirement and explore opportunities in the green hydrogen business and its derivatives such as green ammonia and green methanol.
