THDCIL lowers stator in generator pit of Unit-7 of Tehri PSP

THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has achieved milestone with the lowering of stator (250 MW, weight: 321 tonne) in the generator pit of Unit-7 of 1,000 MW Tehri pumped storage plant (PSP).

With this, THDCIL has progressed one step closer towards the commissioning of the first variable speed pumped storage plant (4X250 MW). Currently, THDCIL has an installed capacity of 1,587 MW with the 1,000 MW Tehri Dam hydro power plant and 400 MW Koteshwar hydroelectric plant in Uttarakhand, wind power projects of 50 MW at Patan and 63 MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24 MW Dhukwan small hydro project at Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, and 50 MW solar power project at Kasaragod in Kerala.
