Amelia coal mine project of THDC India Limited has commenced the first despatch load of the coal which has been excavated from THDC mines to railway siding.
The commercial operations of Amelia coal mine have been commenced six months ahead of schedule. The despatch of coal from Amelia coal mine Amelia coal block situated in the Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh will have a significant impact on the organisation’s growth trajectory. It has net geological reserve of 162.05 million tonne (mt), including an extractable coal reserve of 139.48 mt. The Amelia coal mine is poised to fulfil the fuel requirements of the company’s 1,320 MW Khurja super thermal power plant  located at Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
