KPI Green Energy Limited, SAEL Industries, and NLC India Limited have emerged as winners in an auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) to develop 800 MW of grid-connected solar power projects at the Khavda solar park in Gujarat.
The auction, known as Phase XX, also includes a greenshoe option for an additional 800 MW. KPI Energy has secured 100 MW by quoting a tariff of Rs 2.70 per kWh, while SAEL Industries and NLC India won 400 MW and 300 MW, respectively, by quoting a tariff of Rs 2.71 per kWh each. The tender for Phase XX was launched in May this year. GUVNL will sign power purchase agreement with the successful bidders for a duration of 25 years, starting from the scheduled commercial operation date of the project.
