Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has extended its gas turbine (GT) technology agreement with Switzerland-based General Electric Technology GmBH.
Under this agreement, BHEL will get access and enhanced rights for existing, uprated and new GT models. In the extension agreement, BHEL will also be able to supply GTs with fuel blends such as hydrogen, methanol, syngas and others, as well as hybrid configuration which will contribute to accelerating the energy transition in India. BHEL has been manufacturing and supplying GE-designed GTs in domestic and global markets. So far, the company has delivered around 230 GE-designed GTs to various oil refineries, process industries and utilities in India and worldwide.
