Samaiden secures RM181.34 million contract for solar power plant in Kedah, Malaysia

Samaiden Group Berhad has announced that its subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd (SSB), has been awarded a contract worth RM181.34 million to develop a solar power plant in Mukim Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.

The contract was awarded by Suria Infiniti Sdn Bhd, an associate company of Uzma Berhad, with the solar power plant owned by Uzma Kuala Muda Sdn Bhd. The project involves the construction of a large-scale solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 50 MWac, approved under the large-scale solar 4 (LSS4) program by the Energy Commission. The contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of Samaiden throughout the duration of the project.
