Hinduja Renewables has secured a contract for the development of 80 MW floating solar park along the Narmada River at Omkareshwar Reservoir in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
The project is a part of the 600 MW single-location floating solar park to be developed in two phases. Hinduja Renewables has been declared as the successful bidder for unit C in phase II of the project, at a tariff of Rs 3.89 per kWh. This decision was made by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited, the entity responsible for solar park development and tendering for this initiative. Funding for the project’s shared infrastructure is being provided by the Asian Development Bank.
