Saudi Arabian company, Arabian Electrical Transmission Line Construction Company (AETCON), has won a contract to construct the 605-km, 525 kV Saudi NEOM–Yanbu high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line in Saudi Arabia.
Yanbu is a significant power generation centre on the western coast of Saudi Arabia, while NEOM is a futuristic, new urban area planned to be built in the country’s north-western Tabuk Province. The USD155 million line project has been awarded by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to enhance the country’s power network.
