Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured a Rs 40 billion order from Mahan Energen Limited (formerly Essar Power MP Limited), a subsidiary of Adani Power Limited.
The contract involves supplying equipment, including boiler, turbine, and generator, along with overseeing erection and commissioning for 2×800 MW supercritical power project in Bandhaura, Madhya Pradesh. BHEL’s Trichy and Haridwar plants will manufacture the boiler and turbine generator, respectively. The supply of order for Unit-1 and 2 is scheduled to be executed in 31 months and 35 months, respectively.
