Andhra Pradesh government lays foundation for 5,314 MW renewable energy projects

Andhra Pradesh government has laid foundation stone for three renewable energy projects with a cumulative capacity of 5,314 MW in Nandyala district  of the state.

These projects include development of 2,300 MW solar power plant by Greenko Energies Private Limited at Januthala village in Oak Mandal at an expected cost of Rs 103.5 billion. It is expected to be completed by September 2026. In addition, development of 1,014 MW renewable energy power plant at Kandikayapalle village in Panyam Mandal in Kurnool and Nandyala districts by AM Green Energy Private Limited. It will consist of 700 MW solar and 314 MW wind power projects. It is expected to be completed by March 2025 at an expected cost of Rs 45 billion. Lastly, development of 2,000 MW renewable energy power plant at Muddavaram village in Bethamcherala Mandal in Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, Nandyala and Kurnool districts by Ecoren Energy India Private Limited. It will consist of 1,000 MW solar and 1,000 MW wind power projects. It is expected to be completed by March 2027 at an expected cost of Rs 110 billion.
