The United States Department of Energy (DOE) and India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) have introduced the US-India Renewable Energy Technology Action Platform (RETAP).
In its initial phase, RETAP is focused on key areas like green and clean hydrogen, wind energy, long-duration energy storage, and also explores potential in emerging technologies such as geothermal energy and ocean/tidal energy. The collaborative framework for RETAP has been meticulously outlined by DOE and MNRE, guided by five overarching themes: research and development, innovative technology piloting and testing, advanced training and skill development, policy formulation for the advancement of renewable energy technologies, and investment initiatives, nurturing, and extensive outreach programs.
