The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a USD13.8 million loan agreement with France-based GreenYellow Smart Solutions Company Limited for the installation of rooftop photovoltaic solar systems in Vietnam.
The planned installed capacity is 32.3 MW and the project aims to increase clean energy supply by 31.5 GWh annually. This will displace 15,530 tonnes of carbon emissions by 2025. The financing package includes a USD3 million loan from ADB’s ordinary capital resources and USD10.8 million parallel loans from FMO, a climate fund managed by responsAbility Investments and Societe Generale.
