BayWa r.e. inks agreement with SUSI Partners for 20MWp solar capacity in SEA countries

Switzerland-based BayWa r.e. and SUSI Partners have signed a framework agreement to develop rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in key markets of Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

The funds will be directed from SUSI Partner’s Asia Energy Transition Fund. As per the agreement, the partnership will develop, build and operate 20 MWp PV projects through power purchase agreements (PPAs) with established corporations. BayWa r.e. will handle the project development, execution, client relations, and asset management. Meanwhile, SUSI Partners, through the Asia Energy Transition Fund, will finance and assume project ownership after PPA finalisation. An initial portfolio of over 20 MWp projects has already been identified.
