REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has signed implementation contracts and direct debit facility (DDF) agreements with advanced metering infrastructure service providers (AMISPs); IntelliSmart Infrastructure Private Limited and Apraava Energy Private Limited under the Gujarat Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
This collaboration involves deployment of 1.77 million smart meters and 2.36 million smart meters for Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited, respectively. The DDF agreement enhances payment security for AMISPs, facilitating prompt payment of monthly charges directly from consumer billing collections. The scheme aims to enhance the quality, reliability, and affordability of power supply while ensuring financial sustainability and operational efficiency in the distribution sector of Gujarat.
