SJVN Green Energy Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited) has received a letter of award (LoA) from Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (RUVNL) for development of 100 MW solar power project in the state of Rajasthan at a tariff of Rs 2.62 per unit.
The solar project will be developed on build own and operate basis. The tentative cost of construction/development of this project is around Rs 6 billion .The project is expected to generate about 252 million units (MUs) in the first year and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 5,866 MU. As per request for selection the project would be commissioned in a period of 18 months from the date of signing of power purchase agreement (PPA). The PPA will be signed between RUVNL and SJVN Green Energy for 25 years. The commissioning of this project is expected to reduce 287,434 tonnes of carbon emission.
