PLN Nusantara Power (Persero) has launched the first green hydrogen plant (GHP) at the Muara Karang Steam Gas Power Plant (PLTGU) area in Pluit, Indonesia.
This GHP works entirely on new renewable energy and has the capacity to generate 51 tonnes of hydrogen annually. The energy for the GHP will be sourced from solar power plants within the PLTGU Muara Karang area. Additionally, the renewable energy certificates from the Kamojang geothermal power plant will also contribute to its production. The plant will serve as a launching point, with plans to replicate similar facilities at other Persero generators on the island of Java, with a capacity to generate 150 tonnes annually.
