Powergrid acquires Beawar Dausa Transmission via TBCB route

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has acquired Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited through tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB).

Powergrid will develop the project on build, own, operate and transfer basis with an estimated completion period of 18 months from the special purpose vehicle (SPV) acquisition date. The project comprises of establishment of new 765/400 kV substation at suitable location near Dausa and 400 kV and 765 kV double circuit transmission lines traversing in the state of Rajasthan and associated bay extension works. Beawar Dausa Transmission was incorporated in May 2022 by PFC Consulting Limited, as its wholly-owned subsidiary, to act as a project SPV for an interstate transmission system scheme termed as “Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part H.”
