The Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 400 MW Tabarjal solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Round 4 of the National Renewable Energy Program. The PPA was inked with a consortium led by Jinko Power (HK) Company Limited, along with Sun Glare Holding Company and Sunlight Energy Holding Company. This solar project is expected to provide electricity to approximately 75,000 homes annually, and it has achieved a competitive levelised cost of electricity at 1.70795 USDc per kWh (6.40482 halalas per kWh).
