A consortium comprising Setara Armada Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd, MWG Power Sdn Bhd, and Ocean Solar Energy Sdn Bhd have jointly secured a 28.67 MW solar power contract under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) by the Energy Commission in Malaysia.
The consortium was selected out of 46 applications from the second batch. The total of 800 MW under CGPP has now been fully subscribed. CGPP is a renewable energy initiative by the Government of Malaysia that allows corporate companies to virtually purchase solar energy from solar developers. The project is in line with the LBS’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance principles.
