SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for 200 MW grid-connected wind power project.
SGEL had won the engineering, procurement, and construction contract from SECI under tariff-based competitive bidding process at a tariff of Rs 3.24 per kWh. The project will be set up on the basis of build, own, and operate model across anywhere in India. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 14 billion. Furthermore, the project is anticipated to produce 482 million units (MUs) in its first-year post-commissioning, with an estimated cumulative energy generation of 12,050 MUs over the 25-year period. With the allotment of this project, the wind portfolio of the company now stands at 497.6 MW. The project is expected to be commissioned by November 2025.
