Eurus Energy launches 18.83 MW Tabito Wind Farm

Japan-based wind power developer Eurus Energy has started operations for its 18.83 MW Tabito Wind Farm.

The Eurus Tabito Wind Farm comprise of five wind turbines over a ridge line at an elevation of nearly 700 to 800 metres and is located in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. Each turbine has a 4.2 MW output, one of the highest capacity onshore models in Japan. The wind farm is expected to supply power for over 14,000 average households, sufficient to contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions by 19,000 tonnes per year. As Eurus Energy’s second wind energy project in Fukushima Prefecture, the electricity generated by Eurus Tabito will be integrated into the Tohoku Electric Power Network.
