Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has revealed a strategic collaboration with Brookfield to establish a 45 MW capacity solar energy park in Rajasthan, marking a significant move in HUL’s pursuit of net-zero emissions.
The project will be developed within Brookfield’s solar park site, a part of the Brookfield Global Transition Fund. HUL’s Board of Directors has greenlit an equity investment of up to 27.73 per cent in Transition Sustainable Energy Services One Private Limited, a special purpose vehicle formed by Brookfield under the Government’s group captive open access renewable energy scheme.
