IntelliSmart builds a smart meter project portfolio of Rs 200 billion, one of the largest under RDSS

IntelliSmart Infrastructure Private Limited built a strong portfolio of smart metering projects under Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), with a portfolio size close to Rs 200 billion. In Uttar Pradesh, the company has been awarded a project to install 6.7 million smart meters by state discom Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, making it the largest smart meter project by volume. Among other projects under the RDSS programme, in Gujarat, IntelliSmart has secured the letter of award (LoA) for implementation of end-to-end smart metering solutions from Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited and Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited for a total of 5.1 million prepaid smart meters.

In Assam, the company has won the LoA for 1.5 million smart meters, secured through competitive bidding, from Assam Power Distribution Company LimitedAssam is also a success story for IntelliSmart where it had earlier secured India’s first competitively bid smart metering project under design-build finance-own-operate-transfer arrangement for over 0.6 million smart meters and have already achieved more than 60 per cent meter installation in record time. In Bihar, IntelliSmart has won a project to install 3.6 million smart meters for South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.

IntelliSmart will implement all the projects under total expenditure (capital expenditure + operational expenditure) mode as per the RDSS guidelines.
