Adani Group unveils plans to set up 30 GW green energy park in Gujarat

Adani Group has announced the establishment of the world’s largest green energy park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

The project will cover 726 square km in of land the Rann desert, and is set to generate 30 GW of power, catering to the energy needs of over 20 million homes. Notably visible from space, this ambitious initiative marks a significant milestone in India’s pursuit of sustainable energy and reinforces the nation’s commitment to the Solar Alliance and the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Additionally, Adani Group is creating an extensive renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem for solar and wind in Mundra. Recently, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced a follow-on funding of USD1.36 billion to enhance its construction financing framework to USD3 billion. This funding, supported by a consortium of renowned international banks, will play a crucial role in advancing AGEL’s upcoming project—the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda, Gujarat.
