Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has introduced its retail division, focusing on extending loans in the business-to-consumer (B2C) domain.
This strategic move specifically targets borrowers participating in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program, consumers of rooftop solar, and other segments within the B2C spectrum. In a swift response to the launch, IREDA approved its inaugural loan of Rs 580 million under Component B of the KUSUM program, affirming its commitment to becoming a preferred lender in these new sectors, mirroring its success in other realms of renewable energy.
