LONGi launches new solar module plant in Malaysia

LONGi Green Energy Technology Company Limited (LONGi) has launched the first phase of its Serendah Module plant in Malaysia.

The plant is located in Serendah, Selangor, on Malaysia’s west coast, this facility is an integral part of LONGi’s manufacturing strategy in the country. The 140-acre module factory will be constructed at an investment of RMB2.8 billion. The facility will be equipped with technology and equipment from the contemporary photovoltaic sector. The plant will be constructed in two phases with a combined capacity of 8.8 GW (2.8 GW in the first phase and 6 GW in the second). The first phase is now operational and the second phase has already been initiated.
