The Government of Uttarakhand has allocated development of five hydro electric projects (HEPs) and pumped storage projects (PSPs) to THDCIL-UJVNL Energy Company Limited, a joint venture (JV) between THDC India Limited and Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL).
The projects include 63 MW Mori Hanol HEP, 280 MW Urthing Sobla HEP, 146 MW Bogudiyar Sarkari Bhyol HEP, 600 MW Pungarh-Matiyala PSP, and 630 MW Jaspalgarh PSP. The projects are expected to entail an investment worth Rs 170 billion.
