The renewable energy division of Sembcorp Industries has secured a 300 MW solar project from NHPC Limited.
Green Infra Wind Energy, Sembcorp’s wholly-owned subsidiary, will develop the project on build-own-operate basis, which is a part of NHPC’s three GW bid. The project, slated for commercial operation in 2026, will be financed through internal funds and debt. NHPC is committed to buying power output from the project for 25 years under a long-term power purchase agreement.
