THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has entered into a memorandum of agreement (MoA) for the implementation of the 1,200 MW Kalai-II hydroelectric project (HEP) in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The project comprises of seven generating units (six of 190 MW each and one of 60 MW) and the estimated cost of the project is Rs 130 billion. The project is poised to bring about transformative developmental changes in the Lohit basin region, meeting its energy needs. The project is expected to generate 4,852.95 million units annually.
