CIL secures 300 MW solar power project in Gujarat

Coal India Limited (CIL) emerged as the successful bidder, acquiring a 300 MW capacity in the Gujarat Industrial Power Corporation Limited Renewable Energy Park.

The park, boasting a total capacity of 600 MW, is situated at Khavda and is designated as a grid-connected solar photovoltaic project. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) invited the bids for the procurement of grid-connected solar power projects.  GUVNL will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a period of 25 years with CIL. The order is to be executed in 15 months from the date of the PPA.
